Dinner for out-of-town guests

If you are coming from out-of-town, we would love to have some extra time to visit.  Please join us for dinner on Sunday January 17 at 6:00 at Nikko Hibachi Steak House & Lounge.  

Located adjacent to the La Quinta at 38 Two Bridges Road  in Fairfield

If you are driving there from Route 46 look for the Jose Tejas restaurant and drive back through their parking lot.  (If you miss that you can turn on Two Bridges Road and drive through the parking lot from there.  This is real Jersey.)

We won't be doing hibachi because we feel that you all will be enough entertainment for each other. We will have a limited menu with sushi and choice of chicken, salmon or steak teriyaki; or a vegetable udon.  Let us know if we need to make special menu requests.

Oh No! Invitation troubles

If you haven't gotten a invitation in the mail, you probably won't.  We discovered a problem with our mailing.  (One person did tell me they got two.) So we apologize to those of you we missed but here is the best we can do right now.

The La Quinta is about 25 minutes from our house and from Bnai Keshet.  It is near to the Willowbrook Mall, and is off of Route 46, a big, busy highway full of shopping but it would be difficult to walk to anything. Pool looks nice.

The Courtyard is 5 minutes from us and 10 minutes from Bnai Keshet.  It is adjacent to a shopping area with a grocery store, movie theater, Panera, etc.  Lobby is nice-ish. Pool is tiny.

There are several cute rooms in private homes in Montclair and nearby towns.

Bar Mitzvah invitations should be going out this week.  Keep an eye out for it in the raft of all of those holiday catalogs.

Some folks have asked about accommodations.  Sorry we are slow at setting this up.  We are reserving a block at the Courtyard Marriott very near to our house.  The Marriott is $139/ night plus tax. We are trying to find some other alternatives. It would help if we knew what nights folks plan to be here.  If you are traveling far coming Sunday night and staying until Tuesday would be the most relaxed way to allow a full day of celebrating on Monday!  Come for longer if you like!

On January 18, 2016 Akiva-Lev will become a bar mitzvah.  We can't wait. No actually, we need more time.  But we are hoping this site will help you prepare to celebrate with us.
